Our 9 oz candles burn for approximately 50 hours, and our 12 oz candles burn for approximately 65 hours. Burn time depends on the wax, wick, and how you care for the candle — trimming the wick to ¼ inch before each burn helps maximize burn time.
All of our fragrances are phthalate-free and formulated with pet safety in mind. However, we recommend keeping lit candles away from pets and in a well-ventilated space. If you have a particularly sensitive pet (especially birds or cats), consult your vet.
We use 100% soy wax as our standard. We also offer a coconut-soy blend and beeswax for custom orders. All waxes are natural and free from paraffin.
Trim your wick to ¼ inch before every burn. On the first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the vessel — this prevents tunneling. Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time, and keep your candle away from drafts. Stop burning when ½ inch of wax remains.
Currently we only ship within the United States. International shipping is something we're working toward — sign up for our newsletter to hear when it's available.
Standard shipping takes 3–5 business days. Expedited shipping is 1–2 business days. Orders placed before noon CT Monday–Friday typically ship same day.
Yes — we accept returns within 14 days of delivery for unused, unlit candles in their original packaging. Custom candles are non-refundable. To start a return, email us at hello@emberandwick.co with your order number.
Click "Custom Order" in the navigation and fill out our wizard. We'll ask about scent, color, vessel, quantity, and your event details. We typically need at least 14 days of lead time for custom orders.
Our custom orders start at 1 candle, with no maximum. For bulk wedding or corporate orders (20+), we recommend reaching out at least 4–6 weeks in advance.
Absolutely. In the custom order wizard you can add a name, date, or short message (up to 60 characters) that we'll print on a clean kraft label. You can also upload a reference image for design inspiration.
